Bollington, Cheshire

April's coach ramble was to Bollington, Cheshire on a showery Spring day.  Frank Atherton led the group of 21 up onto the Macclesfield canal and back along the foot of Kerridge Saddle.  We enjoyed the birdsong and early Spring blossom.  Back in Bollington the group sat outside Clarence Mill by the canal enjoying tea or coffee and cakes and scones before visiting the Happy Valley Discovery Centre.

Peter Wilson led the longer walk to "the bottom of White Nancy" (sic) and along part of the Grit Stone Trail towards Lyme Park.  The group of 23 climbed up and down several hills and Peter decided to add on 2 miles to the planned 7 miles. After "a bit of a grueller" they were eager to get back to the Spinners' Arms for some liquid refreshment.
