Caergwrle, Flintshire.

February's Coach Ramble was from Caergwrle, North of Wrexham.  The weather was a mixture of sunshine and showers, after a very wet day on Friday.  Frank Atherton led the party of 18 on the shorter walk from Caergwrle to the village of Hope, along Wat's Dyke Way.  We followed the River Alyn and enjoyed lunch break up in the holly woods.  The very muddy paths took us back to Caergwrle, where some dropped out and some chose to carry on up to the ruins of the castle.  The views were worth the climb and we dropped back down before the rain came.

Peter Wilson led a group of 24 on a strenuous walk up and around Hope Mountain.  The views were superb but the wind chill meant that a very short lunch break was taken.

On return we all joined the Welsh Rugby Union fans in the pubs before returning to Wigan.
