Eyam, Derbyshire.

March's Coach Ramble was from Eyam, the plague village.  The previous day saw heavy falls of snow but most of it had cleared on the Saturday. Peter Wilson led the party of 19 on the longer walk via Eyam Moor, Bretton and Foolow.  There were some steep sections and problematic areas of mud and snow.  One member returned early to the village and Phil Bullen led several members on a shorter return route.  The party of 16 on the shorter ramble was led by Frank Atherton to Stoney Middleton and back past the Riley Graves and the Monpesson Well.  There were some muddy sections and some steeper paths than usual.  Again some chose a shorter path into the village.  We all were interested in Eyam's historic sites and the church and we enjoyed fine weather and the Peak District scenery.
