Waddington, Lancashire.

November's rambles from Waddington were on a very rainy day.  Peter Wilson led a party of 18 through West Bradford and Grindleton to Sawley, to return along the Ribble Way.  It was a very muddy walk but at least  they managed to avoid stepping stones, which on the recce were under water.

Frank Atherton led the shorter walk group of 22 past the Guide centre at Waddow Hall and over Brungerley Bridge to Clitheroe station.  It was agreed to spend 1.5 hours in Clitheroe and we were lucky that it kept dry whilst we had lunch and explored the market and shops.  The River Ribble was almost in flood as we walked to West Bradford.  We were happy to find the coach parked up outside Waddington.
